That’s all for now…

It’s been an eventful weekend. My oldest daughter had a premature baby girl Saturday night. She weighs only 2 lbs 3 oz, but she’s a fighter and is doing well! It will be a long haul in the NICU, but we are thankful she is in capable hands and hope she continues to thrive.

In the baking arena, I have great news for you! A new baker, Michelle Weimken, has joined the market and plans to fill the void when I’m gone. Her grandmother used to have a bakery, and she’s always wanted to have a baking business herself. So this will be a wonderful opportunity for her! I’ve been passing along some of my recipes, tips, and techniques that I’ve learned over the years. She plans to make pies, quiches, thumbprints, mini breads, breakfast items, and other goodies, and will set up a booth at the café window later this summer.  Please stop by her current stand in the pavilion (Busy Bee Baking) and give Michelle a big welcome!
